Questions people often ask

Do you take insurance? Not yet, but were working on it & expect to have most insurances soon. Currently, Alara is a cash-pay practice, so you pay directly for each visit and always know the cost up front. We can provide a superbill if you would like to seek out-of-network reimbursement from your insurer, though reimbursement is never guaranteed.

Where do you provide care? We provide care by secure video to patients located in Nevada, Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Illinois, Michigan, Washington DC, Indiana, and Tennessee, with more states coming. You will need to be physically in one of these states at the time of your appointment.

How do I book? For now, the best way to start is to email the practice. Please do not include detailed health information, symptoms, or medications in your message; a secure intake will be handled once we connect. We are working on adding online booking.

Is ketamine treatment safe? Ketamine is used off-label for psychiatric conditions. It is not FDA-approved for the treatment of depression. Treatment is provided only after evaluation and when clinically appropriate, with preparation, monitoring, and integration support built into the process. We will review the risks and benefits with you before starting.

Do you treat opioid, kratom, or 7-OH dependence? Maybe, depends. We offer at-home, medically supervised support for opioid, kratom, and 7-OH dependence, including medication-assisted treatment where appropriate. Care is confidential and paced to what you can manage.

Can you prescribe weight-loss medication? We offer medically supervised weight care, including GLP-1 medications when clinically appropriate. This starts with an evaluation to make sure it is a safe and sensible fit for you.

Still have a question? Email the practice and we will get back to you.
